What should I bring along to file my tax return?
Tax return preparation is a vigorous task and an important one at that. We may prepare your tax return, but ensuring that your tax return is accurately completed in its entirety is not only our responsibility but yours. Our Tax Preparation Checklist may help you to locate and make aware any tax documents or information you received or should receive, collect, and report, for purpose of tax preparation. Please note that the Tax Preparation Checklist is for the year of 2018, and not intended to be used for 2019. Use the Tax Preparation Checklist at your discretion.
How can I pay my tax dues?
Here are some options to make payments:
BY CHECKS
The conventional way to pay your tax dues is to mail out a personal check or money order along with your payment voucher that is attached in your tax return. Please make check payable to the “U.S. Treasury” and include the following information on your check: name and address, phone number, Social Security number or employer identification number, tax year, and related tax form or notice number. Remit it along with the payment voucher to the address as indicated on Form 1040-V according to your state of residence. Do not mail cash.
DIRECT PAY
You can pay tax dues directly from a checking or savings account. You’ll receive instant confirmation once you’ve made a payment. With direct pay, you can schedule payments up to 30 days in advance. Information you need: your bank routing and account numbers. CCL Tax & Accounting Services provide direct pay when preparing your tax return.
CREDIT OR DEBIT CARDS
You can also pay your taxes by debit or credit card online, by phone or with a mobile device. The IRS does not charge a fee, but convenience fees apply and vary depending on the card used. Please note that CCL Tax & Accounting Services does not provide debit or credit card tax payment option.
INSTALLMENT AGREEMENT
If are unable to pay your tax debt immediately, you may be able to make monthly payments. Before applying for any payment agreement, you must file all required tax returns. You can apply for an installment agreement with the Online Payment Agreement tool, or with us.
Anyone wishing to use a mobile device should remember they can access the official mobile app of the IRS IRS2Go app to pay with either Direct Pay or by debit or credit card.
When will I receive my tax refund?
Your federal tax refund:
Can’t wait for your tax refund? You’re not the only one. A direct deposit refund generally takes up to 21 days, while a refund by check may take up to a month. In some instances, you may experience a delay in your refund. This may happen if your return was incomplete or that your tax return might need further review. You may also experience delays if you claimed the Earned Income Tax Credit or the Additional Child Tax Credit. Under the Protecting Americans from Tax Hikes (PATH) Act of 2015, the IRS is required to hold tax returns for taxpayers who claimed those credits until Feb. 15. To check the status of your federal refund, please click Where’s My Refund? tool.
Your state tax refund:
Generally, you can expect to receive your state tax refund within 30 days if you filed your tax return electronically with direct deposit method. Respectively, tax return filed electronically with refund method by check may take up to 45 days. To find out the status of your refund, you’ll need to contact your state tax agency or visit your state’s Department of Revenue website. Here are some tools to help you check your refund status by state:
